ALESSANDRO MAESTRI TO START SEASON IN MINOR LEAGUE

Italian right-hander Alessandro Maestri, who is playing in Japan for the third straight year, will start the new season of Nippon Professional Baseball with the farm team (triple A) of the ORIX Buffaloes according to Baseballmania.it.
The 28-year-old former Chicago Cubs prospect didn’t make the cut and was left off the NPB roster. He was 7-5 with an ERA of 5.40 in 24 games last year.
